NWS ISSUES WINTER STORM WARNING FOR LARIMER COUNTY ABOVE 9,000 FEET and HIGH WIND WATCH FOR LARIMER COUNTY BELOW 6,000 FEET Strong Spring Storm to impact Colorado this weekend... A strong upper level low pressure system will move from the four corners region this evening to near the Colorado/Kansas border by Sunday morning. Most areas of Northeast and North Central Colorado will see some impact from this storm over the weekend. Heavy Snow is likely in the mountains beginning Saturday evening while rain showers and a few thunderstorms will occur on the plains mainly later Saturday night into Sunday. WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 PM MDT SUNDAY for Larimer County above 9,000 feet... The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Winter Storm Warning for SNOW and BLOWING SNOW...in effect from 9PM Saturday to 9PM MDT Sunday. • SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...7 TO 14 INCHES* THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN DENVER HAS ALSO ISSUED A HIGH WIND WATCH for Larimer County below 6,000 feet...in effect from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. • WINDS...NORTHWEST WINDS OF 25 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE.
