Imagine then our dismay that we were seated at dinner with two couples from Australia. I was surprised by this and it was an awkward seven days for all of us for sure. Why does Carnival not seat Americans with Americans? We had nothing in common with the non-American passengers. This seems to be a lack of thinking on Carnival’s part. Is this standard practice on Carnival? Well no it really is not. The whole reservation jigsaw is a very complicated one to put together for the Maître Ds and I am sure they thought that Aussies and Americans both speak a type of English ……………..so why not sit them together. Should this be a concern?
