Nana Akufo Addo will forever and forever beat anyone who contest him in the flagbearership race and those who intend to contest him know that for a FACT.... That aside,it doesnt necessarily mean that when Nana Akuffo addo support a candidate for an elected office or a candidate uses Nanas name it would ALWAYS translate into he or she being voted for. For instance,In the 2010 congress to elect national executives of the party perceived Nana akufo addo candidates like jake and Sir john won with Nana alsos perceived blessing,But u see,that is not only reason why Jake and Sir john Won....Jake had a track record of winning elections as campaign director for the NPP in 2004,so he run on his record and moreso it was his first time of contesting for the chairmanship position therefore his only point of assessment was the past,Mac Menu had gracioulsy decided not to contest which boosted his chances... For sir john he was the new kid on the block which was an advantage because he was only going to be asessed on his campaign message and more so he was contesting a general secretary who had lead the party into OPPOSITION yet was seeking reelection... Otiko Djaba out of the blue suprised many when she pipped our own god mother Christine Churcher who had a rich track record in the npp coupled with having the perceived blessing of Nana Akuffo addo.. Dr Annoh immediate past eastern regional chairman of the NPP also was elected even though he didnt have the perceived blessing of Nana Akufo Addo.. Dr Bawumia when he was for the first time nominated by Nana akufo addo as running mate wasnt given a pleasant welcome but he has risen to the challenge and proven to all and sundry of his unquestionable loyalty,commitment to the course of the npp which has today won the hearts of Many in the NPP and are bent on making him the next flagbearer after Nana...But Watch this:Dr Bawumia didnt fold his arms and become complacent because Nana akufo addo had nominated him, he worked tiredlessly for the party to the admiration of the many... So Nana akufo addo endorsing your candidature is one thing,and demonstrating your leadership qualities to delegates and the good people of Npp is another.....This is where Jake and Sir john have failed woefully.... This time around unlike 2010 Sir john isnt the new kid on the block anymore his abysmal performance in office is haunting him...and he is seeking refuge in the using of Nana akufo addos name...But I have established intially with the historical antecedents that Using of Nanas name to campaign would not necessarily guarantee Sir johns victory as his perfomance is under scrutiny by the delegates........ So to those who think Sir john is going to win because of him using Nanas name think twice.. I am making a humble appeal to my sister Wendy akuffo who can dig deep posts as far 2009....Sis please keep track of this post for me and repost it after 12th april...Sir john will be voted out by most delegates because of his abysmal performance in office and use of Nanas name will nof save him from being unseated.
