National Weather Service - Salt Lake City, UT Thu, Sep 26, 2013, 2:24 PM MDT ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect from 6pm this evening until 6pm MDT Friday... * This will affect the northern & southern Wasatch Mountains, specifically from about Weber Canyon south to the Western Uinta Mountains. This includes the cities of: Woodruff, Randolph, Alta, Brighton & the Mirror Lake Highway. * Snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches are possible in local areas; 5 to 10 inches in the Cottonwoods & Peaks above Davis County & a trace 2 inches is expected north of Weber Canyon. Snow will affect areas of around 7000 feet tonight & lowering to below 5500 feet by tomorrow morning. * Snow showers will become more widespread this evening & snow ill become stead & heavier overnight. Heavy snowfall is expected for east of the Great Salt Lake late tonight through tomorrow morning & snow should taper off tomorrow evening. * Road snow is expected to inpact travel in the Cottonwood Canyons, Parleys Summit, the mirror lake highway, East Canyon Pass & Wolf Creek Pass. Road slush is also expected in all elevations of the advisory area. Be prepaired for icy or snow overed roads & use caution while driving.
