Natural minor scale Every major scale has a minor scale and the tonic note ie; the first note of the minor scale is taken as the 6 note of the major scale and all other notes are same as the major scale, just that the octave range shifts to the sixth note of the major scale. Eg: The sixth note of the C major scale is A. So the relative minor of C major is A minor. The notes in this natural minor scale will become A B C D E F G A. The octave will range from A to A.
