Near the end of last semester, I struggled with question of “What does it mean to glorify God in everything we do?” I have always heard people say that we must glorify God in everything we do, I mean it says in 1 Corinthians 10:31 “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” But as easy as it is to hear the Word, what made it so hard for me live it? Whether it was studying for my classes, the conversations I have with others, when I play sports, my actions, my thoughts, my motives, was I truly glorifying God? With this question, I gave myself a challenge. I wanted to understand what it really meant to give ALL of myself to God. Not a piece for myself, a piece to the world, and a piece to God. So in search of that, I surrendered everything. I gave up Facebook, Snapchat, any social Medias, video games, the constant hanging out with friends. And instead, I replaced that with reading the Word, praying, and writing. And as summer days passed, God began tearing my heart open and sowing it back up with His Love and Truth. I know school’s right around the corner so I decided to share a song I wrote of how content my heart is in spending the time with God, to help encourage the curious, the strong, the weak, and the brave to keep seeking God! People are going to be busy with school and work as there are classes to study for, events and organizations to make and attend, worries of what our future will look like, it becomes hard to take a step back and pray. But I can say with confidence that I have always been at rest with my quiet times with God. That it is satisfying and I am always hungry for more! Thanks Aaron Lim & Eric Su for helping me make this cover and if you wanted to see the stories and what I’ve learned this summer, I wrote it in my blog! underapeacefultree.wordpress Lyrics: My heart is always searching On my knees I am escaping From this world so devastating Hoping I find understanding through Your Word Your voice so sweet, so rushing My spirit, oh, so willing My cup is overflowing Ignite in me a fire for all to see Your grace is so sufficient Your Love is so embracing The joy in me proclaiming That the King, yes, our King is always good. Let your glory, glory shine. Let your glory, glory shine. Only you, only you. Let your glory, glory shine. For you. Though there are definitely more people than tagged on this, you have been treasured in my heart and always a comfort in my walk with Christ. :) Anson Chuah Zephaniah Seung Justin Wong Jason Wang Josh Cheung Josh Wei Brenda Bateman Tim Don Kwan Christie Wang Jia Chuong JoAnn Jang Christine Wei Christina Wang Valerie See Hilarie See Hester Tse Henry Shih Eric Ma Eric Wang Daniel Yang Kane Wei Ben Fu Andrew Yeang Suzanne Wen Joan Shira David Shiu Stephen Ma Abby Haile Justin Seebok Leung Eric Su Aaron Lim Stephen Tung Brian Tang Jesse Xue Michael Wang Matthew Tjandra Samantha Tran Dora Cheng youtu.be/7Jc_wNH6Bu4
