Need Some Happy to End Your Year? In 2010, Tammy Fee, then dog warden of Pickaway Co asked us to assist with a shelter favorite pooch. This little black dog was going to be euthanized if a rescue didnt pull her. At the time, a volunteer for our organization, Patricia Powers, who goes by the nickname Shooey, was helping us with one of many projects and we decided to name this dog after her. Shooey was fostered by volunteer Foster Mom Linda McClintock for 10 months. Shooey had a few issues to work through and needed a family that understood she was a work in progress. Today we received this wonderful note and a generous donation from Shooeys Family. These are the happy endings all rescue people dream about for every dog that gets that last chance with us.
