Neighbors and Concerned Residents; The Major Milestone Dates - TopicsExpress

Neighbors and Concerned Residents; The Major Milestone Dates are as follows: December 17, 2014 - The next Planning Commission Meeting where it is expected that the Commission will confirm the Conditional Use Hearing date of January 14, 2015. No other action is expected. A small group of Residents should attend to demonstrate that we remain engaged. January 14, 2015 - Tentatively, the new date for the Conditional Use Hearing. It is very critical that all UMT Residents attend this meeting. This a major hearing where our Attorney will be present to give our testimony. In my experience, the township would not release that date if it was not already discussed and agreed to by the township. I fully expect the hearing to be held on the 14th. January 21, 2015 - The planning commission will vote on the Conditional Use Hearing of January 14. The vote could be approval, conditional approve or disapproval. Of course, we are going to push for disapproval. Again, all Residents should attend this meeting. With respect to our efforts, I have been in constant contact with our Attorney to develop our strategy. Our major arguments in the hearing will be Traffic, Safety and Neighborhood Impact. In your travels, please keep your camera phones handy and take any pictures you can that support our argument. If you see trucks “stacking” at intersections; making turns from the center lane, or any other incident demonstrating Traffic or Safety issues, please email them to me for testimony. We have all personally witnessed these things, but picture are more powerful than oral testimony. It is important to note time, date and location. Lastly, we have finally reached the time where our funding is very important. In addition to legal fees, we may need outside professional services. Due to the confidential nature of our strategy, I would prefer not to highlight specific information in an email or fb posts that could end up in the hands of Northstar or Old Dominion. However, if you have any questions, you can always email or call me. What I can tell you is that I have instructed our Attorney that we intend to “play to win.” I gave him the go-ahead to seek out specialist who could strengthen our testimony while keeping our spending in check. We should understand that this will utilize funds in our account and that we may need to raise more cash. I need your help to make that happen. While we are currently at $8650; we have not yet reached our funding goal of $10,000. Please make your check payable to “Eleanor Jacobs, CPA.” In the memo line you may add: “Pointe West Legal Defense Escrow.” You may drop it off or mail it to 1150 Glenlivet Drive, Suite C-41, Allentown, PA 18106. Note: there is a locked drop box labeled “Jacobs, Kenneson & Co.” to the left of the front door marked C41. Checks can be dropped off there any time. Thank you for your continued support. Best Regards, Sunny
