We are pleased and excited to bring to our patients this revolutionary hair transplantation technology. It’s an investment in yourself that will last a lifetime. The Facts about Hair Loss in the U.S. Hair loss affects about 35 million men and 21 million women in the United States alone. Over 40 percent of men will notice hair loss by the age of 35, while 40 percent of women see hair loss by the time they are 60. What is NeoGraft and How is it different? NeoGraft is an automated and performed with new technology. The equipment takes micro-grafts or follicular unit extractions from the back of the head, each graft containing 1, 2 or 3 (occasionally 4) hair follicles and then inserts them into the recipient’s scalp. FUE (Follicular Unit Extract) is the best technique for performing a hair transplant that looks entirely natural. The automated NeoGraft takes each micrograft containing from 1 to 3 hairs individually, leaving a 1 millimeter hole which closes in a day or two with no sutures or staples. The result is no scar, faster recovery, less operating time, less discomfort, and a higher graft “take” because of less follicular transaction. Generally up to 2,500 grafts can be taken and transplanted at one sitting. The Top 5 Reasons Patients Favor NeoGraft: No scar Minimal pain Minimally invasive More hair survival at the donor site, which results in thicker hair Shorter procedure, minimal recovery time Tell Me More About What to Expect During and After the NeoGraft Procedure During the procedure: NeoGraft is a minimally invasive procedure with little discomfort. The patient is awake and alert during the procedure and may eat, drink or listen to music. Once transplanted, the hairs in the grafts will remain visible for 2 to 3 weeks after the procedure takes place, and then they will fall out, leaving the dormant bulb under the skin until 3-4 months. A new hair then grows from the bulb with significant hair growth in 4 to 6 months and a full hair growth in 9-12 months. Post transplant instructions will be given along with medications and shampoo. A bandage is necessary for only one day. Patients will be able to shampoo their hair the next day and resume normal activity in about 3 to 4 days. Tiny crusts may form where the grafts have been placed and usually shed in 7 to10 days. Most patients over 50 are satisfied with one or two procedures. Younger patients may need more procedures if they progressively lose more hair. NeoGraft: An Investment in Yourself The cost for NeoGraft is calculated per graft. Each graft contains from 1 to 3 hair follicles. We will work with you to customize the right plan for you. We’ll create a customized strategy to tackle your hair loss – whether you need 500 grafts or 2,500 grafts. We’ll create the right approach for you. The NeoGraft system “take” rate of the grafts is about 98%, as opposed to the usual success rate of 60 to 85%. Therefore, a patient undergoing a NeoGraft hair transplant will yield significantly more density than the older techniques. The price per hair follicle using NeoGraft would be comparable or even less than older methods. We have a number of financing options available and would be happy to discuss during a complimentary consultation and evaluation.
