Net neutrality is one of the most important pieces of legislation to be decided in the next few years, perhaps the last 50 years. If you do not know what net netraility is you should. It is vital that we keep the internet free and open to all and give the people a public voice to be heard be it about cute kittens and double rainbows or standing up to the machinations of political institutions that have billions of dollars to back them and their self-centered intents to make even more billions at the cost of the other 99% of us. The internet as we know it is the modern day stumping ground, this is the evolutionary mutation of what our fore fathers fought and died for, what our country fought wars to defend and keep. The basic reasoning so many good and noble people answered the call to fight and lay their lives down to protect. This strikes at the very heart of our belief that all people should be able to freely and without fear share ideas, views, beliefs, and thought. This is the very foundation of what started our constitution. This is not just a thing but an idea, hope. save this last bastion where statements made socially be they by a poor or rich person can be heard and have equal footing. The supreme court has taken our right to fair elections away by striking down limits on campaign finance, which in basic terms states, we are politicians and we are for sale to the highest bidder, dont let them also take away your voice for change, keep the internet for the people and by the people as it should be, free and unhindered. This is not a party fight between republicans and democrats this is our fight as the american people to keep a freedom of voice for all and to not let special interests control what you get to see and hear.
