What a most wonderful experience! RMB WineX at the Sandton Convention Centre! The blonde chick kindly took me there last night. I do love going out and seeing how the other half live. If only we could teach poor people to appreciate the finer things in life, theyd be so much happier. You dont have to live in a shack you know, aim higher for goodness sake, dont drink plonk! There is so much good stuff out there! Broaden your horizons! So! At RMB WineX there are something like 800 different wines to sample, tried to sample them all but I found that I was getting tired and emotional so the blonde chick took me home. There were red wines, white wines and even wines with bubbles. Amazed to discover there 60 something Bordeaux Blends, I never knew there were wine producers in Randburg! Just goes to show. Without wishing to appear knowledgeable about wine (although I am recognised as a World Authority), let me just throw in a few names: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinotage,Dessert Wines & Port, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and a whole lot more. Fabulous. There were even cheeses for sale. And it wasnt so crowded that I had to push some people (really old people and small women)out of my way to get to certain wines. You are not forced to just taste and then spit, if by chance some of the wine slips down your throat thats ok. In fact its more that just ok. Which is perhaps why I got tired and emotional. Tonight is the last night of RMB WineX at the Sandton Convention Centre. You really should go if you like really good wines, and a huge choice! Sadly I wont be there, I was asked not to come back.
