Netherlands | Legal Assistant Department The Operations Department coordinates and implements various specialized services for the smooth running and professionalization of Fairfood. The department is led by the Director Operations, with the support of colleagues who manage the following functions: Evaluations & Impact assessments, Legal, Human Resources, Quality Assurance, ICT/Facility management and Finance. Function As Legal Assistant, you will assist Fairfood in a diverse range of legal matters and will be actively involved in research and advise relating to the Organisation’s legal position and responsibilities. With support and guidance from the Manager Legal, you will be expected to communicate and liaise between Fairfood’s management & staff and external parties regarding assigned legal tasks. The Manager Legal will be your direct supervisor. Your competences You have either obtained or are in your final year of completing a master’s degree in law. You have an ambition to develop yourself further in the legal subject area. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. A good understanding of the Dutch language is a requirement. You are able to take initiative and have a proactive attitude towards assigned tasks. You are capable of working both independently and within a team. Obviously, you have an affinity with Fairfood’s objectives. What do we offer? This is an unpaid position suitable as an internship to obtain work experience both in this particular field and at an NGO. We will reimburse your travel expenses and provide lunch for the days you work. We offer a versatile position within a young international organisation working for a great cause.
