Never Forget..... Today we reflect and REMEMBER what we were doing - TopicsExpress

Never Forget..... Today we reflect and REMEMBER what we were doing and how we felt of that tragic day. I remember as the first plane hit I was walking out of work (night shift) with my big belly. I was joyful and beyond happy because I had been off shift for a 1/2 hour by that time and had my daily belly kiss from the receptionist who would talk to Briana Waltz every day! As I walked into the waiting room to walk down the stairs, there was a crowd of people watching the little t.v. (and so it begins) My heart sank and I just had so many emotions of my little one who was due in 1 month and what was she going to be born into..... I could not move from that spot my legs were like cement on the floor. I finally left and drove THE LONGEST DRIVE it seemed. All I wanted to do was to get home to my little family. I went to pick up my baby boy Brandon Waltz. I hugged My grandparents and went home to my hubby Brian Waltz. We all three sat on the floor not a space between us. I held Brandon so tight while watching and crying and the pain our nation was experiencing. It felt like a direct attack against my family. I didnt want to move. Our hearts were frozen. We didnt know if there was going to be any other attacks. Any other threats... Our imagination went wild. At the time I was just a wife, mother, and nurse. I had no idea the flooding of sadness my now brothers and sisters were experiencing. You see now I am a wife, mom, nurse, FF, EMT... When one of our Brothers or Sisters are hurt or in danger We ALL feel it. We ALL want to fight for them. I never knew how much pain they actually were going thru. When you are part of the brotherhood it feels totally different and you want to personally grab each of the family and tell them your sorry. My heart goes out to every member of the families that were affected that day. All the Providers that were Lost. The bravest of the bravest. The bad Asses. We cant even begin to know how it was. With all this said..... Thank you for my brothers and sisters who gave their all and Left NO ONE BEHIND. Thank you for all the families who sacrificed the ultimate sacrifice. And thank you to the brave bystanders who stepped in to help. The US was UNITED that day as we were ALL feeling the same emotions.
