Never have I met someone connected to #BlackLivesMatter who condoned violence, wished death upon others, or who blamed the victims of assaults and homicides for their own deaths -- not Patrisse Marie Cullors-Brignac, not Darnell L. Moore, not Professor Brittney Cooper, not the Lost Voices, not anyone. It is entirely possible to condemn the killing of police officers and to mourn their death, while simultaneously affirming that Black Lives Matter and recognizing the immediate need to address the mistreatment that communities of color endure from law enforcement.
