New Book Project : Orthodox Church Planting I am working on a volume considering the theology, history and practice of planting new communities through Orthodox missionary activity in the West and especially in the UK. It will contain material considering the methods of St Paul, the history of the introduction of Orthodoxy into various places including the British Isles; and the practical issues relating to establishing new missionary communities of convert believers in the West within their own culture. I need help to fund the time and study required to produce this volume and so I am asking that faithful Orthodox will consider making a donation to allow me to develop this project in a timely manner. Those who donate £30/$50 or more will receive a complimentary signed copy (as if that added any value) on the publication of the book. Indeed this same Lord is the one who commands his Apostles, go therefore, and teach all nations. What is the will of God towards our own nation and towards the peoples of the West? Surely our Orthodox Faith teaches us that God does not will that any people should be lost in the true death of sin. Surely our Orthodox Faith teaches us that God wills that the British and American and Australian and Canadian and indeed all peoples be called to receive the Gospel of salvation. This Apostolic injunction applies to the whole church, therefore it is the command of the Lord that those of us who are Orthodox must teach the people of this nation, of our own British people, so that they also might receive this Gospel of love and life with joy and thanksgiving and become disciples themselves.
