New Delhi : Delhi Police says, Nido Tania was alright when he left the Lajpat Nagar police station on his own in an autorickshaw. There were eight to nine minor abrasions on his body, but none were life threatening, says the post mortem report. The toxicoloy report is being awaited, and death due to internal injuries is not being ruled out, says police. Giving details of the incident, a Delhi Police official says, at 1:55 pm on Jan 29, PCR got a call reporting a quarrel, and a team was sent to the spot. The call was made by accused shopkeeper Farma. By the time, the PCR van reached there, Nido had compromised with the shopkeeper and paid Rs 7,000. The PCR van picked up Nido and Farma and brought them to the Lajpat Nagar police station. At the police station, both sides gave in writing that they did not want to pursue the matter, and that they had worked out a deal. They refused to undergo medical examination, and hence no FIR was registered. The mother of Nido, staying in Arunachal Pradesh, was called on phone and she did not object to her son dropping the matter. Police then informed Nidos local guardian Vinod Bansal and Varun, Nidos fathers friends and handed over Nido to them. Nido then asked his local guardians to leave and said he would go to his sisters house. CCTV footage showed him get into an autorickshaw and leave Lajpat Nagar. He was absolutely fine then. Police have however registered a murder case but no arrests have been made so far.
