New Job Building Services Project Engineer - GM/05424 Industry: Building and Construction Job Type: Permanent Location: London, England Salary: £30000 - £40000 per annum My client is a leading HVAC design and project management specialist contractors with their head office situated near Birmingham currently involved with around 10 large scale High end Residential & High end Commercial (Hotels, Restaurants & bars) Projects in London. They are looking for several Building Services Project Engineers to look after these very interesting large commercial & residential projects. They are looking to pay between £30-40K & are looking for the right Building Services Project Engineer to start ASAP. Ideally the right kind of Building Services Poroject Engineer will have a bias towards or solid experience of HVAC to a commercial scale as well as duct work, plant rooms etc. & will live within the M25. Duties * Delivery of building services projects from handover stage through to project completion * Manage 4 key aspects of project management; scope, quality, task & costs. * Controlling and managing variations to scope of works * Procurement of project materials. · Create, manage and update project programmes * Planning of project labour and resources. * Preparing progress reports and delivering clear and precise progress information to the operations Manager & Operations Director * Planning deliveries and ensuring process in place for checking / handling deliveries. * Preparing Risk Assessments & Method Statements & ensuring they are followed. * Management of site teams and some supervision where appropriate. * Management of Health & Safety on site. * Management of any project non-conformances. * Dealing with incoming RFIs - ensuring clients needs are met * Dealing with outgoing RFIs - ensuring responses are received from client in a timely manner. * Management of drawings. Ensuring drawings on your projects follow the correct process for approval and issue. * Management of commissioning. * Management of O & M Manuals. * Project completion and handover Key Skills · Good knowledge of Building Services · Health and Safety management · Good Commercial awareness · Good Planning skills · Good Customer care/relationship building skills · Ability to cost and manage projects within budget. · Flexible approach to work as significant travel between the client sites may be required If you are interested & feel you have the right experience & skill set for this position then please get in touch with Toby on 0208 892 1300.
