This is a permanent role based in Central London! To be the successful Environment Manager you will help take ownership of operations and support the managed environments. The Environment Manager will also evaluate upcoming projects in terms of their impact on the existing environments infrastructure and work the Infrastructure & Network teams to ensure environments meet project requirements. The environment in question will be responsible for the operational ownership of the managed environments and for the management, support and maintenance of Production and supporting environments such as QA, Pre-Production & Training. As the Environment Manager your key responsibilities will include: Prepare high-level plans to ensure medium to long-term environment provisioning objectives are fulfilled. Ensure relevant governance and control standards are adhered to in accordance with relevant policies. Work with Release and Configuration Management team to manage and control the deployment of software releases across multiple environments. Customer communication planning to align with testing schedules. Implement and continuously improve robust processes to manage and communicate the usage of all environments. Evaluate environment availability and defect metrics, and their impact on OLAs. Release, Change & Configuration Management DB administration & support The system knowledge this Environment manager would ideally have includes: Windows Server-based applications Operation and administration - 2003 & 2008 (including R2 & 64 bit environments) System monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance IIS & ASP .net website support Security and access control UNIX/LINUX operation and administration JAVA applications and systems Oracle, MSSQL, and/or MySQL exposure Cloud-based SaaS environments and applications Salesforce and Servcie Cloud New Voice Media CyberSource Ops View, Nagios, and Teoco This is an exciting role in a very modern environment!
