New Job Tier III Technical Support Engineer - VOMN-OPEKR Industry: Media Job Type: Permanent Location: Seoul, South Korea Salary: Corporate Bonus plan, RSU Grant & more Venator Broadcast Recruitment Solutions are currently working with a leading CDN company, seeking an Tier III Technical Support Engineer for their Korea branch. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Top tier (level 3) technical support for customers both in Korea and around the world in a follow-the-sun escalation model. You will support customers server network and caching services, working closely with other technicians and colleagues in the R&D, Integration and Sales departments. You will act as the escalation point to resolve issues from the companys NOC (production service environment) and from Level II support engineers. Reporting to the Operations Director based in Europe, you will be part of a truly global team dedicated to providing best-in-class service to the companys diverse customer base. Required/desired skills and experience: *A relevant Technical Degree (e.g. Networking, Computer Science) *3-5 years hands-on experience working in a technical support/advanced escalations role *Experience with CDN/SaaS/PaaS/Cloud/Video streaming/Caching solutions *Experience with Unix/Linux administration in a help-desk environment *Experience in Enterprise level NOC/production support organisation *In depth knowledge of troubleshooting TCP/IP networks, transport layers and production hosts *Familiarity with various scripting languages (including shell scripting) &/or Oracle DB support *Experience with, routers, switches, firewalls and Internet protocols *Comprehensive understanding of HTTP, Network concepts, DNS administration, TCP packet analysis *Working knowledge of Apache server *Fluent English & Korean (Spoken, written and reading) This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly-growing company, that has risen amongst tough competition to become one of the top 3 global CDN companies (by peak egress traffic volume).
