Were very happy you had such a great time, and were especially pleased to hear Gabriella is so keen on getting certified! “a great team for a great experience” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014 NEW My wife and I came to Koh Phangan for 3 days from April 22nd to April 25th. I had the clear intention of exploring the local dive sites and, in the meantime, getting my wife back in the mood to learn scuba diving, after a bad experience in Indonesia. From our 1st enquiry call to the goodbye picture, the tropical dive team was outstanding all the way, and made it an amazing experience for us: first the booking: we called 2 days before to enquire about dives and certification: the team took over 10 min to answer our questions over the phone + sent a detailed email to give us all required info. Then we arrived a little later than planned, chatted for 1h with their very nice coordinator from South Africa ( sorry dont remember her name) who managed to book us for discovery dive experience for her while I was diving with advanced divers. Then the spirit: the team is very experienced, international and offer reliable equipment, but all is also done in a very chilled out and fun way. we dont leave to early so that we get to rest , and this way are also the last boat left on the dive sites for the afternoon dive ! Also, while we had a thorough briefing on the boat with divemasters making sure well know about all the fishes well get to encounter , the team also made a great effort to make my wife feel relaxed , and that everybody get to know each other. Finally, they were very respectful of the environment, telling even fishermen not allowed on the site to go away. thats very appreciable finally The experience: awesome. the team really made an effort to make the dives feel special: Sophie, our dive master, was everywhere. taking pics and videos of us under water , for ex. going through the chimney at Sail rock. she was also pointing very well at the smaller fishes (like micro coral shrimps) or the ones at large ( some barracudas) we couldnt see. we had a very good debriefing at lunch, with some interesting stories about how the sites could be different from one rock to another. The lunch itself was very good , especially the chicken curry the 1st day. When returning to the beach, we always had a nice team picture plus could enjoy the posts on the website as a souvenir. Also, the team recommended us a great seafood place , Luna restaurant , where we had an amazingly grilled red snapper the last evening As a result, my wife ended up taking 4 dives and now really wants to get certified.
