New/Used Mosko Moto bags I found on ADV showed up today. These are really nice and I look forward to using them on my bikes. These Mosko Moto bags are the best of both worlds. You get hard mount style soft bag. Soft bags are preferred in off road riding because you are less likely to break the bag in a bad crash and you are also less likely to injure your leg/angle if the bike falls on you. The main negative against soft bags is always securely fastening them your rack and most times there are a ton of straps to remove if you want to actually take the bag off the bike. However in this case, because of the hard backing that holds the bag securely to your rack, you dont have to use straps to hold the bag and the quick release mounting plate means you can take the entire bag off the bike very easily each night at camp or at the hotel. The mounting plate system is ingenious and really looks like it should hold the bag securely.
