Last summer I was playing in Warcraft 3, incredible game, want to back it more and more :) but after certain period of time, I got bored from the same battles, I turned on the editor and started to make changes in particular map, changing the amount of the wood in one tree (about 2000 in 1, and did normal forest, through which you could walk throw), gold mines (999999999 ^ - ^), the maximum number of units to 600, maximal hero level up to 100, new objects were added from World of Warcraft in warcraft 3, spawn of the monsters, cities, clans a LOT in one word. And I thought, why not create a battle between humans and orcs? The human base was the “Old Camp” and Night Elves in “Swamp Camp” like in Gothic And something even came out)) after that, suddenly on the 20 August 2013, decided make a remake with Skyrim Engine, which not really changed since Oblivion times, it is easy to understand. Previously, In oblivion I also worked with map changing. My favorite place was of course the Shivering Isles. The start location I turned into a desert, with sun, sand wind and stuff, and the fight with gate keeper was underwater) yep, strange, I Know) The Mania Lands became jungles, with flying isles with waterfalls, and Dementia… well If u seen the Avatar, you can imagine how Dementia looks like) Of course rebuilded Cities. May be somewhere I still have this mod)) In general work with this engine was not difficult. Therefore, about a week before the start study season. (Im a student) I did the whole map, but it was similar but not the same, too big, I reassured my self that in Skyrim there is a sprint and it will bring some balance. Once into the work has entered my brother - Alexander Polishchuk, he quickly learned the engine and began planting the world he is main designer, especially he likes design forests. By the way, at that period of time we have not any skills in game developing, we used only Engine like a Lego, check the mod, you can unbuild any object) each brick. So came the title Gothic BROTHERS Team. We did the mod for a loooong time, about 5 month. We made the Camps and went to the world) We watched the similar projects as our, there were at least 6 of them, but they all died, only 3 left(counting us) We were even lucky enough to meet an interesting person, cosplayer - Alexei Troshin (Xardas), who has watched the project from it bringing in the WEBnet, word after word, came the idea was to attach to his performance on STARKON video about our project, it was great performance despite the fact that there was a problem with wiring. At the same time, actively preparing for the performance, Alexei also began actively develop the project, as we are from the very beginning from 0. Brainstorming scripts, figuring out how to make the skyrim looks like Gothic, we even found out, how to make Dovakin Speak able!) But it was really difficult to change anything in this engine in its code, and because we saw how our partners on related projects are progressing in other Engine(CryEngine) without any problems, we have decided abandon Skyrim Engine and start work with CryEngine. Since than we work together 3 of us really hard on the project. Interesting fact, none of us did not past the storyline of Skyrim))) we used only the Engine. And step by step we became famous in NetWeb, in Vkontakte.ru after that we came to Facebook but non of us does not make any P.R. management, people knows us from their friends, who knows us from their friend) It was amazing to see 100 followers at the beginning) really WOW) During the process of making the game we get know different people, who help with the projects how they could, the assistance was not very titanic, but any way, it was help, we were glad. AT the beginning we wrote we need help from those, those ,those and those, as usual write 90% of new game developers, but no miracle happened and we on bicycle with cubed wheels, started our way of learning. A lot of objects were created from the 0 by us, that is the achievement! (tables, wood, food, rocks, etc.) What now? We continue our work, it is non commercial project, we do it for “thank you” Pity sometime for us, weeks, month, sitting whole day and whole night making and making it from the very 0 from the very beginning, we would like to get some financial reward of course, but we are scared, because what we do is not quite legal, we afraid even get money rewards from people who just want give it, a charity.
