New York Comic Con was the place that saw the much talked about synergy of Video Games and TV, finally materialise. To be fair, Microsoft got there first with Halo, but Sonys approach is different, they want to produce TV shows that their audience is likely to watch and the first green lit project is not even based on a gaming franchise. The result is a TV adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oemings Powers comic book, which is about a detective unit that investigates crimes involving people with superhuman abilities. Personally, I like what I am seeing in this trailer, the approach is a really stellar cast with a Dexter like aesthetic. Theyre even leaning pretty heavily on their TV credentials, marketing the show as from the studio behind Breaking Bad. The plan is to bring this exclusively in December to Playstation Plus subscribers as part of their sub and others can purchase the TV show via the Sony entertainment store.
