New arrangements for listing Criminal Cases in Glasgow. See email from GBA for info. "As a result of difficulties with the listing of cases in certain courts, we have been liaising with the Clerks with a view to coming up with a system which works for us as well as them. As of Monday, a new system is in place as undernoted: This will be for a trial period initially of two weeks and any comments on the effectiveness of the new system would be welcomed: NEW ARRANGEMENTS FOR COURT RUNNING ORDER LISTS CRIMINAL COURTS As from Monday 29 order lists for criminal courts will change. The new arrangements will mean that, between 3pm the day prior to the court business calling until 9.15am on the morning of the court business calling, the lists will be available from the front reception desk for solicitors wishing to append their names and relevant case details. Thereafter the lists will be taken from the reception desk to the court room and will be available from the clerk of court. The change of arrangements relate to the following court business and will mean that on Friday 26 reception desk for business calling in these courts on Monday 29 Summary crime • ID courts (am & pm) for Sheriff, Stipendiary Magistrate & JP business • Pleading diet courts for Sheriff, Stipendiary Magistrate & JP business • Sheriff Remand court • Domestic abuse procedural court (Sheriff) • JP/Stipendiary Magistrate deferred sentence and undertakings – Court 2. Solemn • 1st diets (Tuesday and Thursday only) Solicitors should only append their names to the court running order lists available at the front reception desk within the court building until 9.15am each day in order to reduce/remove any possible duplication of running order lists."
