New (but old) treasures to add to my fall decor. My moms friend gave me a metal pumpkin candle holder of hers last year. I painted it white, distressed it and put a gorgeous dried hydrangea bloom inside to add instant curb appeal to my little home. My dad found a birdhouse in someones garbage a few weeks a go and gave it to me. It appeared to be made of tree bark, sticks and twine.. Like a little enchanted fairy cottage. I liked it but it didnt match too well with my current theme I have going on. So, I painted it an off-white color and distressed it with sandpaper to give it some shabby chic TLC. Now it is absolutely perfect! I cant believe someone would throw this out.. It mustve taken a lot of time to make.. It is very charming. Thank you to my dad for having a good eye for beauty :) Keith Jmesion
