New correction stats within days RIYADH — The Directorate of Passports said an announcement would be made within the next few days on workers who have corrected their residency status. Directorate spokesman Lt. Col. Ahmad Al-Lehaidan said due to the Eid vacation, no accurate statistics could be provided. He added that complete figures would be announced in due course. A large number of illegal workers have already corrected their status and the grace period, which ends on Nov. 3, was considered more than enough time for the rest to follow suit, he said. Al-Lehaidan said once the grace period ends, there will be an intensive inspection campaign to catch those who have not used this grace period to correct their status.
