New from England ... National Badminton League (NBL). First ever televised badminton league in the UK running on the equivalent of TSN. Some funky rule changes: 1/ games are best 3 of 5 games to 9 with no setting ... so 8-8, next point wins 2/ shorter breaks and warm ups. 3/ no coaching between games, if they want coaching have to use a time out (1 per match) 4/ in the fifth game, its first to 5 or 3 clear points wins. 5/ Injury substitutions. If a player is injured a team can substitute a player, but ONLY for injury purposes. 6/ powerplays. A player, when serving can ask for a power play and they used a pink shuttle, and if they win the point they get 2 points :) Enjoy :)
