Web Editor: -in charge of Roosevelt Torchs website and social media (Facebook and Twitter) -upload each weekly issue to the website and insert links, multimedia and photos as necessary -engage audience through social media daily -collaborate with Business Manager to upload ads on the website Graphics Editor: -create and produce informative graphics, charts, maps and diagrams to help explain a story visually and create in-house advertisements. -work closely with Layout Editor for weekly newspaper production -make sure the pictures for each story are clear, aesthetically pleasing and corresponds to the story. Image cropping, creating pictures, or using Photoshop to sharpen up a picture are expected skills and techniques to be implemented here as well -keep in constant communication with Editor-in-Chief, Managing Editor and Layout Editor -help the Layout Editor design layouts that are attractive and accessible to the reader and continue to maintain the look and identity of the newspaper -must be willing to come in on designated production day Resumes can be sent to rutorchnews@gmail.
