New silat training group has formed less than 1 mile away from me with a former beginner student of mine not even a guru nor junior guru luis artola. Former student now taken under the wing of a silat colleague of mine which is one of my teachers gurus in his lineage. Personally I would not do such thing to my silat brothers. But hey each their own. I wont ruin my friendship with guru debordes nor guru kelly Smith cause of young student who has been booted out of my school. But I understand its not my colleagues fault it is former student doing things his way. No communication and with out making sure people give respect and appropriate distance to teach seems to be ok with some. My former student should know better . Maybe I should teach in peoples back yards from now on???......MIAMI IS A BIG TOWN find a spot 5 to 10 miles away and head away from my back yard thank you. My Serak lineage would not do things that way. Im pretty sure guru gm richard debordes and pendekar hanafi would not do things that way. Luis artola Good luck with that. I wish you well and success. FOR ACTUAL SILAT CLASSES WITH ACTUAL TEACHER/GURU 3x a week you know where to find me & come train with an actual silat Guru. Time ,grade, experience, Sacrifice, loyalty, hormat/respect is every thing. Do the right thing at least take your new training group 5 to 10 miles away and make things right. I have students that have actually sacrificed time effort sweat and actually paid for class instead of free load they are way ahead of the former beginner that now wants to teach less than 1 mile away from me. Even my current students scratch their heads in confusion and laugh cause they know who you are and how much actual Time and grade you have. Cause they know who has actually been training and who dabbles. Those that sacrifice put in their time and are loyal have my full respect and blessing. Let me ask you something luis artola will this mean you start covering financially the bill to bring Gm Richard deBordes in from across the pond and seminar fees, hospitality food each year etc etc? Good luck with that. Remember you do not have my permission to teach serak neither from me nor from maha guru stevan plinck nor from Guru Clifford Stewart nor from uncle Willem de Thouars. I can not stop guru kelly from teaching you infact I asked him to teach you. He is good teacher. It will be good for you to make the sacrifices to go train in texas with him and to pay costs to bring your new teacher out to teach you and train you. You will appreciate what I have done for many for years on my dime, sweat, effort and sacrifice. You will then understand and appreciate things more and be forced to grow up and grow a set of cojones. And then you will know what free loaders are about as well. Luis, I wish you Well on your path. You had chance to make things right. ***Current Students of mine that support guru luis artola on his new efforts and venture and plan on training with him please do me the favor and dont come back you will not be welcomed in my class, my home nor my silat family any longer.
