News Release Wednesday November 27th: P201302282 Conspiracy to Commit Burglary Third Degree: On Tuesday November 26, 2013 South Windsor Police arrested Zachary Goodrich, age 19, of 214 Spruce Street, Manchester, CT at Manchester Superior Court on an arrest warrant. He was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Burglary in the Third degree, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the Sixth degree and Conspiracy to Commit Larceny in the Fifth degree. Goodrich was held at court and presented later Tuesday morning. His charges stem from an August 2013 car burglary investigation on Farmstead Drive. South Windsor Police investigators later determined that Goodrich was involved in several car burglaries in town and obtained an arrest warrant for him. P201303464 Car Burglary at LA Fitness- Cedar Avenue: The South Windsor Police are seeking witnesses to a car burglary that occurred at LA Fitness on Tuesday evening at about 6:30 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the side window of car that was parked on the north side of the building and removed the victim’s purse. Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity is requested to contact the South Windsor Police at 860-644-2551. It is recommended that all valuable items such as purses, GPS units, smart phones, etc. always be secured in the trunk to deter theft. Charity Event- “Stuff a Truck” Food and Toy Drive: On Saturday, December 14, 2013 the South Windsor Police Department will join members of the South Windsor Fire Department and South Windsor Ambulance Corps at Stop & Shop, (1739 Ellington Road) and Geissler’s Supermarket, (965 Sullivan Avenue) for this years “Stuff a Truck” event. Emergency services personnel will be at the store receiving toys and food donations from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All donations will benefit local families in need.
