News Release from Sandy Springs Conservancy: Please join us for the Grand Opening at the Abernathy Greenway and the Playable Art Park next Thursday, July 17 at 10 am! After years of hard work, the Abernathy Greenway and the Playable Art Park will be opening to the public next Thursday, July 17! Please mark your calendars to attend the ribbon cutting at 10 am. The City of Sandy Springs, The Sandy Springs Conservancy and Art Sandy Springs cannot wait to share in the celebration with you and your family. A shuttle will be running between the Greenway and the City Center Green (where the Farmers Market is held) from 9:30 - 11:30 am or if you live in one of the surrounding neighborhoods, please walk to the Grand Opening festivities with your family. The Playable Art Park was created as a joint venture between The Sandy Springs Conservancy and Art Sandy Springs with a grant from Northside Hospital and support from the City of Sandy Springs and Fulton County Arts and Culture. Presented as a gift to the City of Sandy Springs, the six sculptures were designed to inspire imagination and foster childrens play and interaction. These amazing sculptures have now been installed along the Abernathy Greenway between Brandon Mill and Roswell Road.
