News from FoodCorps Service Member Jane at Kohala Elementary Discovery Garden- It is an exciting summer in the garden, as we have a number of infrastructure projects going on right now. I am putting on a fundraiser to purchase the last of the materials for a fully functional irrigation system that stretches 600 ft. Im playing a free show (vocals, uke, perchance keyboard) on Friday, July 11th at the Kava Bar in Hawi town. All proceeds (aka bring yo cash money) from the live entertainment will go directly to the school garden program. The Kava Bar serves up a mean locally sourced, delicious meal every Friday night for $10 and strong kava so come check it out! (cash only) Food drink and live music in downtown Hawi this Friday!
