News fron the Province of Bulacan Alvarado pushes “One Bulacan Pride” CITY OF MALOLOS- On his second term as top provincial executive, Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado said he will drive the province, with the help of local executives and Bulakenyos, to a new threshold of development, opportunities and progress through “One Bulacan Pride”. “Ang One Bulacan PRIDE ay hindi isang gimik upang iduyan lamang ang mga Bulakenyo sa huwad na kaunlaran. Bagkus, ito ay bangkang lululanan ng ating kaunlaran,” Alvarado said during the mass oath taking of newly elected Bulacan officials dubbed as “Sabayang Panunumpa, Nagkakaisang Pamamahala para sa Lalawigang Dakila” yesterday morning at the Capitol Gymnasium here. One Bulacan PRIDE (Program for Rapid Industrialization and Development), is a program to make Bulacan a hub of industrialization and model of inclusive economic growth. “Ilan sa mga proyekto nating nakapaloob sa One Bulacan PRIDE ay ang techno-hub na gagawin sa Malolos, at ‘yung ABS-CBN na mula Quezon City ay ililipat na po sa San Jose del Monte, na magbibigay ng maraming hanapbuhay sa ating mga kalalawigan,” Alvarado said. The governor added that other proposed seven strategic initiatives are the development of the jewelry industry to enable it to compete strongly in the international market by having a jewelry-making complex that will serve as a showroom and production facility, and a tourist attraction as well, a modern food processing and packaging facility to boost agro-industries in San Rafael and San Ildefonso, the establishment of a mineral processing center, along with downstream manufacturing plants, in the northeastern part of the province among many others. Alvarado also shared before thousands of Bulakenyos some of his accomplishments during his first term as the local chief executive of the province. “Napaganda natin ang ating mga ospital at naging modernong pagamutan. Binuksan natin ang Kapitolyo sa lahat ng Bulakenyo, mayaman man o mahirap. Nabuksan ang daan sa mga barangay upang ilapit sa kanila ang serbisyo ng pamahalaan,” said the governor. Meanwhile, Alvarado also expressed his gratitude to all the Bulakenyos who continuously support him and his plans for Bulacan. “Salamat po sa muli ninyong pagtitiwala at sa panibagong pagkakataon ay sabay-sabay tayong magsasagwan patungo sa isang destinasyon na maghahatid ng panibago at mas masiglang opourtunidad sa ating mga kababayan at sa ating dakilang lalawigan,” Alvarado said.
