News is breaking as we speak that there may be an improvement coming in US-Cuban relations. But only Congress can end the embargo. Tell them to do it: leftaction/action/end-cuban-embargo Its been more than 50 years since the Cuban embargo began, and by any measure it has been an utter failure. If the goal was regime change, that obviously hasnt worked. If anything, its strengthened the existing regime by giving it a convenient excuse for any and all of its shortcomings. Its time to end this senseless, stupid, counter-productive policy. The Obama administration has taken positive steps towards better relations, and breaking events appear to give hope.
