They speak with a specific serious tone which, due to collective acceptance, is equated to the transmission of information which has been decided for you as to what is the most important things for you to focus on. The brain goes off and the mind goes into unquestioned subservience - because nobody considers how it came to be or what it perpetuates. Once you see it for what it is, its quite ridiculous and really quite laughable.
