Next Sunday 8th December is the last Conservation Day of the year. Sadly during the recent high winds, Nicks carving of the green man on the range was blown over, Ian and I have been having a look at it and believe we can cut off the higher limbs and with a bit of digging at the root end winch it back upright and it can stand as a totom poll, proudly showing off the carving and perhap a few nest boxes towards the top. We will need a few bodies to do this so hopefully we will have another good turn out. As usual at this time of year there are all the leaves to clear from the monuments and the paths, so there will be plenty to do, if it dry we will another fire and burn of some of the excess branches from the bottom of the range. Meet at 10:00 - 10:30 at the visitors center, please bring along your diaries so we can pencil in a date for our Christmas social.
