Next Sunday on August 24th, elite athletes from around the world will compete in this years Ironman Louisville ultimate triathlon. Although it may be difficult to get into our branch due to road closures, we want our members to take a second and appreciate what will be happening in our city. These athletes will swim 2.4 miles, bike 112, and run 26.2 miles...all in one day. The Downtown YMCA wants to welcome these athletes to our facilities as they taper their final days of training and wish them the best of luck on their journey to 140.6! So members, if you see an Ironman this week, welcome them and let them know how much they inspire you!
