Next application review: August 2013 *Studio Khalat* artellewa art space invites Egyptian and foreign artists living in Cairo and Giza, to apply for space to work and implement artistic projects at Studio Khalat. Studio Khalat is a new addition to artellewa art space, which opened in January 2013. It is a space equipped for artists’ work, allowing a group of artists to work on projects for periods ranging between one month and one year. Studio Khalat gives artists the opportunity to communicate with residents and craftsmen of Ard El Lewa, and to interact with the surrounding environment. Selected artists are asked to commit to working at the studio a minimum of ten hours per week, and to complete the project that they propose in their application.
