Next time you hit legs, try this...put a light weight on the bar. I used just 135 lbs for this.... Now do as many reps of back squats as you can...ideally 30+ reps. Thats why you want to use a pretty light weight. Re-rack the bar, then set up for front squats. NO REST. Unrack then do 2 reps. Re-rack the bar, get it on your back and continue with back squats for as many more reps as you can. Re-rack then do 2 reps of front squats again. Repeat this back-and-forth until either your legs or your lungs are ready to explode, all done with essentially ZERO (or as little as possible) rest in between exercises. And as fun as THAT sounds...I, of course, did it wearing that elevation training mask I talked about previously. Cripes....and I thought high-rep deadlifts were bad wearing that thing...this is a lot worse...the front squats put direct loading on your breathing muscles while youre desperately trying to breathe! By the time Im done with this training phase, Ill be able to explode hot water bottles like Franco Columbu.
