Next time youre wondering why health care is so expensive this, in part, is why. Next time you want to blame the drug companies for pushing medications or the Docs for prescribing them irresponsibly, take a look in the mirror. Its a matter of supply and demand. Its you and me and all the clueless on the loose out there who dont understand that their own actions create the monster and then continue to feed it. Most people are not overjoyed with the prospect of being sick anyway. How satisfied are they going to be on the whole? Now Doctors and hospitals are going to spend all this money providing services and not be reimbursed for it half the time afterwards, unless of course they prescribe whatever the patient is demanding.
