Nick Muick will be going for the gold tomorrow in Oceanside at the World Body Surfing Championships----apparently a title he currently holds. Wanda and I had hoped to go to Oceanside tomorrow to cheer him on, but found out that the I-15 is going to be closed, so it will be literally impossible for us to get there. I had really looked forward to seeing Ron Mirolla and others there, so am bummed!!!!! And meanwhile- back at the community the only exciting news is that Wanda burned her butt on the time out bench. After buying here, the Association decided to make this a NO SMOKING in your own condo, on your own balconies or patios or in the courtyards.....and instead, put in a metal bench- with a big sign on the back that says Smoking Area with an ashtray next to it....situated on the sidewalk, pretty much in front of my kitchen window (though I am upstairs- that is my direct view). Well, when it is close to 100 degrees, guess what happens with a metal bench! Truly, Wanda smokes very little, and will probably end up quitting altogether as many of us have, but in the meantime, I am not sure if she is expected to carry a cushion downstairs or what! Any suggestions??????
