Nine crazy things I have done since being a mom : Followed a van that sells cake because my son insisted it is just like an ice cream truck giving out ice creams (fully aware that is not true) but just to give him the thrill of hot pursuit of a Cake truck! Made Elf on the shelf hide his face and turn his back the next morning because he couldnt believe the kids lied to their mother. Stood and stared at a construction site for a long 30 minutes with my son in his car seat as he compared his construction site at home to the real one. As the construction workers looked at me weird. Gave up my entire annual vacation of 10 days so that we could be in a city full of museums and exhibits and planetariums and more museums. It could have been 10 days on a beach. Went into a John Deere dealership to let him ride the tractors until the owner came and shooed us away (pretty rude) Tracked down every carousel known to mankind in infinite radius for my daughter to visit and take picture of her waving ! Down with horrible Flu in Disney, riding the scooter with one eye shut and the other barely open in crazy summer heat of California not wanting to miss my kids expressions when they ride their favorite rides! And refusing to break the line because I am just sick not disabled so I dont deserve to get any benefits so sat on scooter for hours in line while my kids complained why you get to have the cool thing? I was in the ER on day 3 of Disney. Given them toothbrushes as Tooth Fairy gifts and told them she wants them to value money and brush well! Become RoboMom and picked the kids from School because mom was busy at home and speak to them in Robotic automated voice! My most favorite : Told them extremely likely scenario based horror stories of a fill the age of daughter here Girl and fill the age of Son here boy when their dad is not home just before Dinner time. And then spent next 50 hours laughing
