No Mass Promotion | Exams to be conducted for every class with some concessions | ‘There may be delay but Exams wont be cancelled’ Oct 01:The government has ruled out mass promotion of the students in flood-ravaged Kashmir and hinted that exams in the Valley may be deferred but not cancelled. They confirmed that there would be no mass promotion for students and all examinations for every class would be conducted although with some concessions. Secretary School Education department, Nirmal Sharma said: “The examination in winter zone (Jammu) including Leh and Kargil would be conducted during last week of October while the examinations in flood-hit Kashmir may be deferred.” She, however, asserted that there would be no mass promotion.
