Nominated for the #BookBucketChallenge by Kiran AV. Here is a list of 10 amazing books I have read (the first 10 with no order of preference). 10 is too less but I tried my best. 1. The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie 2. The Hindus: An Alternative History by Wendy Doniger (no.1 and 2 are extremely powerful books and I assume you know why...) 3. God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything by Christopher Hitchens (ironical title since Hitchens himself is the God of Cynicism!) 4. An American Witness to India’s Partition by Phillips Talbot 5. The Story of My Experiments with Truth by M. K. Gandhi (read it for my medical entrance exam MGIMS Wardha and several times after that) 6. The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare (read this in my summer vacation at high school. I was so impressed that I wrote the entire book down because my father won’t buy it for me due to the whole “concentrate only on your studies” deal) 7. Eichmann in Jerusalem: A Report on the Banality of Evil by Hannah Arendt (saw the movie first) 8. A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking (more so because I didn’t understand a lot of it!) 9. India After Gandhi by Ramachandra Guha (this should be made a must read for high school kids) 10. Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection by Charles Darwin (dad gifted this to me as my 12th birthday present) Nominating: Anish Dave Mallikarjuna Sharma Dhruva Mistry Sarah Overmeyer Jeffrey Kirkbride Tanay Shah
