Nominations for Board of Directors candidates will open on December 1st and will remain open for 1 week. Elections will follow soon after. The list of positions are as follows: President Vice-President Treasurer Secretary Advisor The current positions are held by: President - resonence (Marcel Carignan) Vice-President - cooper (Mark Cooper) Treasurer - Scarface (Daniel Coolen) Secretary - Sweetcheeks (Mike Brake) Advisor - Wraith (Perry Smeaton) General Outline of Duties and Responsibilities: President: - Determine the best direction to take NSA as a whole. - Ensure NSA adheres to the spirit of its Mission Statement and Codes of Conduct. - Make agendas for and lead NSA meetings. - Represent NSA in any dealings with the public. - Head up event cooperation/volunteerism. Vice President: - Take over duties of the President in the absense of the President. - Assist the President with implementing NSA plans/strategy. - Assist the President with dealings with the public. - Lead event cooperation/volunteerism in conjunction with the President. Treasurer: - Keep track of NSA funds/assets. - Maintain inventory of NSA property. - Main point of contact for NSA fiscal transactions. - Prepare report on NSA fiscal status and prospectus for the following year. Secretary: - Keep meeting minutes at NSA meetings. - Create documents used for record keeping by NSA. - Store records and documents. - Periodically check NSA email. - Update NSA records. Advisor/Member Relations Officer: - Primary member relations officer. - Organize Age Verification with appropriate Age Verifiers when possible. - Lead NSA forum Moderator. - Assist with enforcing NSA Rules, Codes of Conduct and ensure fair play and sportsmanship is maintained and encouraged. - Assist Board of Directors conduct NSA business. * All BOD members will help run games when possible, especially our annual large event, Rock the Ridge, for which, all BOD are expected to help plan/run the event and not play. Being a BOD member is to be taken seriously and may require significant commitment of your time. This is a fantastic opportunity for any member with the drive and commitment to help shape the face of airsoft in NS. ** Candidates to have at least 1 year airsoft experience within NS to run. *** All current BOD members are assumed to be running unless they state otherwise.
