Normandie/104th I passed right by this. Horrible. A woman was shot to death in front of her husband, in front of their home at Normandie Avenue and 104th Street in South Los Angeles, just after midnight today. Her name was not immediately released. The killing was called in from the 1400 block of West 104th Street, said Deputy Graciela Medrano of the Sheriffs Headquarters Bureau. The woman, along with her husband, were standing in front of their home when a dark-colored sedan pulled up and stopped. Two men got out the vehicle and opened fired on the couple, Medrano said. The woman, who suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso, died at the scene. Her husband was not injured. The suspects got back into the sedan, and drove east on 104th Street and out of view, she said. Their descriptions were not made available other than their race, which is black. Deputies asked that anyone with information on this murder call the sheriffs homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500. All tips can be made anonymously.
