North Koreas actions were intended to inflict significant harm on a U.S. business and suppress the right of American citizens to express themselves. Such acts of intimidation fall outside the bounds of acceptable state behavior. So Mr. President, what are we going to do about it? The specific business entity in particular is not a significant detail. The fact that a movie has been trashed is not a significant element of this story. Executive emails leaked is not the salient point. A foreign government has interfered with the operation of a company doing business in the USA as an American company. A foreign government has assailed your Constitutional right to free speech through a premeditated attack, though through a mode that is just emerging and not recognized yet by the masses like a bomb or a bullet. The foreign power also, through a proxy group threatened a tangible attack on US citizens who might have considered viewing the product of the aforementioned US business. If you think hey, whats the big deal? you are not detecting the problem with all of this. Try harder. Focus. Get pissed. The Constitution, the underlying document for our form of government starts with: We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Were solidly in General Welfare/ secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity territory, folks. And the assailant is a foreign power. Dont let our government and their mass media sycophants make you think this is about a movie and some corporate executive emails, nothing to see here, move on. No, there better be consequences. Our federal government likes to be involved in many things. This one is squarely in its wheelhouse. What company is to be interfered with next-- The one for whom you toil and where you earn the resources that provide for your family and your dreams? What American freedom is next to be squelched by some two-bit dictator who cannot even feed his own people?
