North Shore Councillors George Wood and Chris Darby- surely you - TopicsExpress

North Shore Councillors George Wood and Chris Darby- surely you dont agree with what Mayor Brown wants to do? We ratepayers are fed up with not being listened to and the Mayor and rest of you councillors must start listening. You are supposed to represent us and what we want. Libraries are priority. Rubbish is priority. Park and street maintenance is priority. For years you have been made aware about the problems with park maintenance and weed control not happening and how there is not enough budget money for this maintenance and now our Mayor wants to decrease the parks budget even more! Parks, community services, and rubbish - Parks and community services will bear a big brunt of the cost-cutting with talks of reduced mowing of parks, weed control and garden maintenance; reduced hours at some libraries and fewer arts and culture festivals and events. Inorganic rubbish collections could end and charges introduced for recycling services. Forget about the pie in the sky CRL and Sky Path and stop so much focus on the city centre, public transport and cycling and focus more on the rest of AKLD. We ratepayers deserve better value for our ratepayer money and AKLD Council is not delivering the basics and it is going to get even worse. Get rid of all those money draining ad-hoc council organisations and costly CEOs (and the spin doctors in the Mayoral office). Sort out AKLD Transport. Cut their budget. Mr Brown said Auckland could not afford everything. Yes he is right and he has shown himself to be the most expensive everything of all! Mayor Browns vision for Auckland has expired. Just appalling to read Bernard Orsmans report in the NZ Herald posted this afternoon at 4:00pm. nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11289132
