Not a bad day. Lots to do at work, got the car registered again today. Have bugs to work out. Got the engine in Saturday night, worked through pain in the butt problems all day Sunday, drove it home last night. Driving through town, out came the bugs, lol. Oil and coolant leak, idles too low, have to adjust it; lady almost hit me in traffic and blew a wheel cylinder in the rear, have a battery cable to replace, coolant to add, injector line to get tightened cause its leaking, and have to time the fuel pump better. Sigh, the list goes on, but its running!!! SO excited, lol. I was going to get to Mom and Dads this evening, Mary Perry, but had to take care of things at home. Ill come over tomorrow, I owe Dad some cleaning in the garage, the engine transplant left a huge mess of parts EVERYWHERE. I HOPE I dont have to pull the A/C and alternator bracket to deal with a coolant leak. If Im lucky, its just a hose. Otherwise, its the rubber gasket between the pump and engine, and I dont want to pull it all off again. Has to be fixed no matter what, though. Oil leak is the little O-ring for the dipstick tube going into the block. Too easy. Have to tighten belts, raise the idle, get the cold start cable hooked up, play with the injection pump timing.
