Not much news from South Fork ... the wildfires of Windy Pass, Papoose, and West Fork still burn and are wind driven. When the afternoon winds pickup so does the smoke from the fires. We are still monitoring for any sign of the fire coming over the ridge and into South Fork ... thankfully, it has not come over. It appears to me to be several "ridges" away from South Fork. The prevailing SW winds should keep it away from SF. Just my opinion. We have been told by folks who attended the town mgmt meeting that "control" of South Fork is now in the hands of the National Guard. The latest news conference left me with the feeling the fire will simply be allowed to burn itself ... whenever that is. As I said not much news ... all in all it was a very nice day in South Fork.
